small but delightful

The Costa de Almería Aquarium is designed to follow the “Water Cycle”, a process that will enable you to get to know all the stages water goes through on our planet. So your journey will begin with water condensing in the clouds, then falling as rain, and finally reaching rivers, seas and oceans.

    Thoroughly enjoyable
This is a small but well maintained Aquarium, if you take your time, 'nice and slow' we thought it was a great little place, our young children got in for free and the Adult entry fee didn't really bother me. The kids enjoyed feeding the Coy at the start and stroking the dog fish and sting rays, at the end....even the less animated star fish. There are some fairly big tanks with a good variety of marine life. The only other thing around is the Water park next door, this can easily soak up a day, but you are allowed to leave the park and re-enter it in the same day, so a visit to the aquarium would be a nice breather from the hustle and bustle of the Water park.

Nice small Aquarium 30 mins visit adequate
Lovely place where you can see all sea life/fish are cared for. Divers in the tanks cleaning whilst we were there. Staff friendly and welcoming. Great information boards on all species and interactive pools to touch some of the creatures. Felt it was very pricey €16.95 an adult. Takes less than 30mins reading and looking at everything at slow pace. Blink and it’s the exit. €1 euro machine providing food to feed the Koi carp at start. Not easily signed so can be missed, but worth buying as the carp are beautiful and interactive. Cafe ok, only had a coffee. But other snacks hot/cold drinks available We arrived at 11.15am, opened at 11am. Sadly, big group of children on a visit. Was extremely noisy, all screaming and shouting. Teacher and guide struggled to controlled them. Only a small place so wasn’t overall relaxing visit.
