Defunct Well
Few locals seem to be believe that a miracle took place here. According to legend the second archbishop of Lima, Toribio de Mogrovejo when visiting in the 1590s struck a rock here with his staff and see a well starting delivering fresh water to the city! To become a saint miracles have to be attributed to a person. These were often made up. Anyway Toribio, was declared Santo Toribio. The structure of the well as such is not very special and defunct. I even once passed it without noticing it. It is one of the few places in town where the authorities placed an info board in both Spanish and English. It is worth while to walk further uphill towards the Iglesia Santo Toribio De Mogrovejo, not to see the church but for the magnificent view. The mirador near the well is less interesting as you are still not very high up.

Not much to see
Interesting legends are associated with it but there is nothing to see really. It is only a rock cave-like structure with rubbish in it. The path leading to it is cute though and you can combine this "sight" with going up to the Mirador, which is not far from it.
