Lots of activity
I love sitting on a rock on the berm of the river. We were able to see the river in a lower state and as the rains came the river rose. I was able to see the salmon running up along side the banks of the river. I was able to watch people fishing and observe how salmon fishing is a little different than fishing other kinds of fish. It was fun to people watch at all different times of day. We were in Talkeetna for a week and were busy everyday. I recommend a week stay minimal to really get into the life here.

Majestic Views of Denali
My timing was perfect! Walked down to the park after breakfast at the Talkeetna Road House. Walking along the Susitna River, I look to my right and behold Mount Denali in all its splendor along with the rest of the Alaska Range in all its glory! Mesmerizing it was so beautiful. There are also additional hiking trails around the park area. Don't miss it!

Great views of Denali
Nice little park. Great for pictures with Denali in the background. Lots of ice in the water when we were there which is why we got to explore Talkeetna. Our excursions for this stop were cancelled due to ice jams. Instead we got to explore talkeetna. Made for a very nice afternoon.
