I love sitting on a rock on the berm of the river. We were able to see the river in a lower state and as the rains came the river rose. I was able to see the salmon running up along side the banks of the river. I was able to watch people fishing and observe how salmon fishing is a little different than fishing other kinds of fish. It was fun to people watch at all different times of day. We were in Talkeetna for a week and were busy everyday. I recommend a week stay minimal to really get into the life here.See more..
