WAY BEYOUND EXPECTATIONS!!!
Chris was our guide for a full day of sockeye salmon. We had gone with another outfit a couple of days before and caught zero. We had a 9 year old and a 94 year old in our group. He made sure that they were safe and comfortable. He even built a fire in the rain to keep them warm. Chris reminded us when it was 15 minutes before we had to leave and wouldn't you know it, the fish starting hitting. He allowed us to stay until we got our limit of 24 sockeye salmon. This is a trip we will never forget. He then proceeded to filet the fish, What a masterful job he did! I had watched 4 or 5 Youtube videos, and he blew them away. I usually don't write reviews unless I'm upset, the service was soo great, I was compelled to. WAY BEYOUND EXPECTATIONS!!!

The trip was so amazing I think I’m going to move to Alaska.
Best trip of my life!! I was a little concerned about taking this trip because of Covid and had a good talk with Glenn about everything prior to making a final decision and he was very helpful with our options. After weighing everything out my wife, son, Dad and I all decided to make the and fish with Russel fishing last July. The accommodations were great, we stayed at the Hi-Lo lodge in a great two bedroom condo over looking the boat dock that Russell uses to launch most of its Kenai river trips. The condo had a nice little kitchen to cook in as well as barbecue grilles on the gorgeous deck. It was also great to be able to walk straight to the boat from the front door of the condo during the mornings. Glenn was great about helping us get a fly out to crescent lake with Alaska West and recommended a great guide named Badger. Captain Zach was fantastic for our salt water trip and landed us on Amazon halibut fishing, the boat had caught its limit of halibut in a little over an hour, then we went trolling for salmon. The guides for the Kenai were equally amazing, we caught a good amount of fish every day we were out, in fact between my wife, dad, and myself, we brought back 150 pounds of fish. I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience.
