Incredible!!!!! 6 mile 3 canyon rafting trip
What an absolutely incredible experience!!! Nova should be the only company you consider if you're looking for an adventure on the water in Alaska. The staff as a whole were incredibly thoughtful about clients safety but also in their overall experience. They are also all hilarious and you can tell they all love their job. 6 mile river is so unique in that the difficulty of the rapids increases as the trip goes on so you can warm up and test your abilities and your will before moving on to anything crazy. Our raft had 6 people in it including our guide in the back that was giving us commands on how to hit the best lines and get through the rapids. We were a well oiled machine!! Some of us fell out at one point but due to our in depth safety brief prior to getting in the raft we were all back in within 30 seconds and conquered the rest of the rapids no problem. Nova offers a 2 canyon or 3 canyon trip however they are very flexible in that if you only paid for the 2 canyon but are having so much fun and don't want to get out you can stay for the whole ride and pay the difference on the backside. Conversely, if you paid for all 3 canyons but realized you bit off more than your can chew, you can tap out early and they will refund you accordingly. Regardless, Your adrenaline's pumping, your cheeks hurt from smiling and you feel so accomplished at the end. Wet suits and shoes are provided for you. I recommend wearing athletic clothing with a couple layers on top. No hood though because you won't be able to tuck it into your wet suit. All personal belongings (wallets,phones, jewelry etc) can either stay in your car or they will lock it up in their trailer until you get back. 5 minute bus ride to the river and then 10 minute bus ride back. There's a photographer taking awesome pictures the entire time and they offer a USB to buy at the end for $40. All in all an A+ trip. All the credit in the would to Nova and their staff.

Great Matanuska glacier tour, great company!
Betsy, our tour guide was wonderful. She made the glacier hike a memorable experience for our 11 year old son and us. I would recommend Nova over Mica guides. We had a flat tire and missed our prepaid glacier hike with Mica guides. Mica had spots available on a later tour the same day but wanted us to pay $300 again to rebook. Be careful if you book with Mica in advance. They will take your money and throw their nonrefundable policy at you. Nova on the other hand gave us a 10% discount because after learning about the day we had without us even asking. Nova also does not charge full price for children under 12. Nova is a company with great customer service. Highly recommend them!
