Wonderful Whale Watch Experience!
We had a fantastic time on our whale watching excursion. We saw whales bubble net feeding multiple times, sea lions and a very large brown bear! The boat while larger enough has room for only 6 so you are able to enjoy your time without competing for a good view like on some other larger boats I've gone on. Joardan was an excellent captain and guide. We also enjoyed the complementary coffee, snacks and the home made muffins his wife made. If your cruise stops in Icy Strait I highly recommend booking with Hoonah Whale Tours rather than booking one of the larger boats the cruise ship offers in their excursions

It is a whale tour. Just do it
The crew was great, and the Captain appeared to truly care about finding whales. Understand that although the crew can find whales, what the whales do and photo opportunities are at the whales discretion. Give it a shot. Not much else to do here anyway

Whales!
What a great experience! Captain Jordan was an excellent host with hot chocolate and homemade muffins and a wealth of local knowledge. We experienced humpback whales swimming all around and under the boat. Then the same with Orcas. We watched as they swam under the boat with their white bellies gliding under us. Checking us out! If you’re in Icy Strait Point, don’t miss out on this wonderful small group excursion!!!
