Excellent
Greg was amazing. He took us on a 3 hour tour and the whole time we felt safe and well informed. We saw Bears, Deer and Eagles and Greg was a great guide also showing us the town of Hoona. We passed several tour groups who had not seen any bears and their vans were filled with people where-as we had lots of space in Greg's van. He was also kind enough to drop us back at the ferry drop terminal afterwards!

Best excursion of our cruise.
We went on a tour in September of 2022. This tour was the highlight of our entire cruise. Greg, our guide, not only knew the landscape and wildlife in the area, he knew the people. We were able to see three bears during our tour, and multiple eagle and deer sightings. At one point we were at an overlook watching a bear and it came up the bank of the creek and was remarkably close. Greg expertly put himself between us and the bear, made it safe, and got us back into the car. It was the absolute coolest way to spend the afternoon. His knowledge of the area and the ways of the people there was also incredibly interesting. We can not recommend this tour highly enough.

You won't regret taking this tour
Booked a tour with Greg in June 2022. Had a great experience - saw Eagles, Deer and a bear - such a peaceful nature experience. Beautiful area and he knew where to take us and explained about the history. Knows his stuff - thoroughly enjoyed. Highly recommend for any cruisers coming to Icy Strait/Hoonah. Love the small group experience.
