Angel Rocks Trail, Alaska, United States
4.5 (106 reviews) Spent Ranking #15 in Fairbanks Hiking Trails
Lovely hike with gorgeous views
If you don’t want to deal with a trail full of tourists, I definitely recommend going early in the day and during the week. The trail was well marked with some nice off shoots for getting sweep valley views. It’s a pretty rough trek up, better for people at least moderately in shape or who can take it slow. I saw plenty of birds and red squirrels. Sadly, no bear or moose.

Gorgeous Hike
We went on a guided hike of this trail and were not disappointed by the 360 degree views or the beautiful weather!! It is a moderate hike with some steep inclines early on, but after the second tors it didn't seem that drastic, but my adrenaline from the beautiful Alaskan landscape may have been distracting me. I would probably have done this hike just my boyfriend and I had I known we wouldn't be seeing any dangerous animals because then we could have gone straight to the hot springs and ice museum, but we had some memorable stories from our guided tour that we wouldn't have had otherwise. Definitely a must do hike while visiting Fairbanks!

Excellent Angel Rocks Hike
My wife and I enjoyed hiking Angel Rock. The trail is well-maintained. We didn't see any wildlife on the trail, but did see several moose on Chena Pump Road en route to the trail from Fairbanks. We had a breezy day while hiking and thus the mosquitoes were not bad.
