Did not looked like much at first sight, but...!
Booked as a last minute excision form our cruise ship, so glad we did. We were treated to seeing two female bald eagles in an enclosed habitat. The young lady who gave us the presentation on the eagles was very knowledgable and had a great sense of humor. She passed around some visual aids (eagle talon, feathers and skull) that were very interesting to hold. Went into another room where we had a presentation on the bears, wolves and other animals of Alaska. Overall, great experience for children of all ages.

    Cruise stop off
A fascinating place, staffed by experienced and friendly guides. We learnt so much about bald eagles and this put us in good shape for a later tour to see nesting sites. There are quite a few injured eagles here and it was fascinating to learn about how they are cared for and the stories behind their arrival at the Foundation. A large part of the premises is devoted to a taxidermy display and the discussion of each of the animals was insightful. We also had a brief flying display from a tiny owl. A good trip.
