Very interesting facts
One of the stops on our journey was a viewing point of the Oil Pipe Line. It was very interesting lesson about the line, its history and current data. Beside whatever is on display, our tour guide told us more stories about how the line was build, how the permafrost affect the design of the line. Because we were heading to the port of Valdez, the pipe line was "assisting" us to the very end. I like this place and recommend to everybody going on this highway. RomanP

Interesting
This is an outdoor viewpoint on Steese Highway. It is open 24 hours but there are no lights when it is dark. It is also a good viewpoint for the Aurora Borealis when they are out. The parking area is on both sides of the highway. There are few signs that explain about the pipeline and you can also see the pipeline above ground.
