A Pleasant Little Museum

This is a partially restored train station that serves as a museum of how trains / stations worked. The individual working there was extremely knowledgable and eager to share his knowledge of the station. The upstairs, which was the station masters family residence, has been converted into a very nice airbnb.

    An interesting stop !
Nice stop. We were greeted by the friendly staff (lady) who patiently showed us the remnants of the Nenana Railroad depot. There was coffee and cookies available too. My teenager also enjoyed this nice stop between Denali & Fairbanks.

    Fun, historic, and charming town
This was a fun, historic place to visit during our tour of Alaska. A volunteer explained the history of the railroad depot and some of the equipment still standing in the station. He was as interested, however, in telling us all about the Ice Classic contest based here and showed us a book of all the people who had entered with their names and time guesstimates recorded over the years. The town is a charming example of unique Alaskan Americana.
