Father of the Blues
Excellent little museum that tells the story of W.C. Handy's life. They do a great job of presenting the type of history that often doesn't get told in this kind of depth. Tons of Handy memorabilia plus a two-room cabin where he was born. We could only stay about 45 minutes (had to get to FAME for their 4 p.m. tour). Would love to have stayed for another half hour or so. The staff person was very welcoming and my husband ended up chatting with her about the museum and the area for some time.

Very Interesting visit
If you are interested in Blues Music and heritage, the W C Handy home is well worth a visit. It's small scale, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the video presentations are rather long, but you learn a lot!
