Beautiful Area
Open Pond Recreation Area is very nice and a great place to go camping. The sites cannot be reserved and are first come, first serve and are reasonably priced. They are large, and there is foliage between the ones that are farther away from the lake. Each one has a nice large fire ring and a stationary picnic table, as well as poles to hang a clothesline, and the bath houses are kept clean. The terrain is hilly, which makes for some great hiking and biking. We also enjoyed a leisurely paddle in our kayaks one day we were there. We camped for 5 days and I wish we could have stayed longer.

nice camp site
Its always a good stop for us in the spring.It gives us a chance to get the rig all up and running for the up coming year.We always like to hike around the area.Its always been a great stop for us for many years!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice place to do some hiking
With most places being closed because of the Corona virus we were doing some "social distancing" and decided to ride out here. We didnt camp but did drive around the camp ground. It looked very peaceful and there were many people fishing. We did take a short hike with our kids and dog. It was very peaceful and we didnt come across anyone eles. We plan to come back and do some camping.
