Open Pond Recreation Area is very nice and a great place to go camping. The sites cannot be reserved and are first come, first serve and are reasonably priced. They are large, and there is foliage between the ones that are farther away from the lake. Each one has a nice large fire ring and a stationary picnic table, as well as poles to hang a clothesline, and the bath houses are kept clean. The terrain is hilly, which makes for some great hiking and biking. We also enjoyed a leisurely paddle in our kayaks one day we were there. We camped for 5 days and I wish we could have stayed longer. See more..
