Enjoyable morning
Several months ago a friend of mine recommended to me the Maple Ridge Gun Club. My son and I with several friends took the advice and ventured to the MRGC for a morning of shooting rifles and pistols. We arrived using Google maps which is a must otherwise you will get lost. The office is a rustic cabin with a large table for sitting around and more importantly, a fireplace. On a cold morning, it was nice to have coffee in front of the fire before going out to the range. We each ponied up $20 for shooting and we're given targets, a stapler for the targets and eye and ear protection. The MRGC has one dedicated pistol range, a pistol and rifle range out to 50 yards and a rifle range out to 500 yards. There is a clay and skeet range too at an extra cost but I have not tried it yet. The pistol and rifle ranges are well kept and we had more than enough room to fire. Several other individuals were at the range and even though the parking lot was full we did not feel crowded. By the end of two hours, all of us were tired but content. For my group, we are looking forward to returning to the MRGC. The service is good and the range is in good shape with many safety precautions.
