    Weekend Get-away
This is the second year we have taken our two grandsons (ages 9 & 5) and stayed in one of the camper cabins inside the campgrounds. The boys had a blast. The camper cabin was clean and well maintained. And, Barbara was extremely helpful and very accommodating. The park itself is one the most beautiful parks we have in Alabama. We will definitely go back.

    Excellent
My wife and I have been coming to the state park for over 40 yrs. It has always been our "go to" place. Actually, we rarely travel to any other place. We have stayed in all of the areas.. Campground, cabins, chalets, and motel. Always a pleasure especially since the re-model of the lodge. Golf course is excellent as are the boat ramps. Bass fishing on the lake is ideal and it is by far my favorite place to fish. Recently we stayed several days at the lodge motel. It was clean and the staff was "spot on" with covid protection and very helpful. We visit the state park each time we travel to Guntersville regardless of where we stay. We look forward to our next visit.
