    Beautiful homes
We did our own driving tour of the historic downtown area and loved the beautifully preserved and maintained homes along Government Street and all the side streets. Just lovely, refined southern living!

    Joe Cain Gravesite...
Went with the sole purpose of visiting the gravesite of Joe Cain, a legendary figure of Mobile history. GOOGLE hiGm up if you are noyt familiar with his story. Grave yard is full of interesting plots. Not as interesting as St. Louis Cemetary in NOLA, but still good. Joe Cain's plot is just inside the entrance and to your immediate left. 5 steps into the area! Found it by looking at youtube videos and then looking at buildings/etc. in the background and plotting my course. Grave is scattered with mardi gras beads. Very interesting for a history buff....
