Fun and lost of information
Honoring all styles of music and dedicated to the preservation and celebration of Alabama's musicians and the state's great musical heritage. The Alabama Music Hall of Fame was a dream and goal of the Muscle Shoals Music Association, a Shoals area based professional organization of recording studio owners, producers, musicians, songwriters and other music professionals. In 1980, through their efforts, the State legislature, with leadership of State Senator Bobby Denton, created a state agency, the Alabama Music Hall of Fame Board, with a mandate to honor all of this state's great music achievers, and to build a facility in which to showcase these talented individuals and their accomplishments.

Great place to visit
The museum is stuffed full of music memorabilia. The displays are vignetted by music style and period. It is an impressive venue. If you like music and music history this is a must place to have on your list to visit.

Music History
Yes, this is a small museum but worth the stop when taking in the other activities around Tuscumbia. We spent an hour reading and listening about the great musical history of the state of Alabama. Highlight was probably walking through an old tour bus once used by the band Alabama. In addition, I do appreciate the extra efforts that have been taken so visitors can enjoy the museum during covid-19. Thank You!
