Very enjoyable
Our family of 8 visited (parents, 5 young adults, and baby). It was a very pleasant visit, everyone enjoyed it. I especially liked that it was all local wildlife, and the various tanks were set up to display different ecosystems. Good information, especially about all of the invasive species that have been introduced. I thought it was very reasonable compared to many attractions ($12 adults, $6 5-17). They will give adults $6 entry with a school ID. Luckily, we had four college students and they were all half price. It was crowded when we got there at 10:30, only a few parking spaces left. When we left a little after 1 the place was cleared out.

Small Scale Aquarium
This is a very small, basic aquarium that has 2 touch tanks, consisting of a small outdoor stingray tank (with a ramp for wheelchairs/strollers) and a small indoor tank where you could touch horseshoe crabs and a conch shell. Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for kids. I was expecting the variety of sea creatures to be much more extensive and larger since it sits directly on the Gulf, but the aquarium is still in its early stages of development. The facility itself can get a bit crowded, especially on busy days. Besides the 2 touch tanks, the aquarium had fish tanks, a few skeletons of marine animals (turtle, dolphin), a very tiny octopus, sea horses, and 2 basic tug boats (one indoor and one outdoor) for kids to pretend play. This was pretty much the extent of the interactive areas for small children. There was a lot of signage to read for older kids and adults and also a short film. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The young woman working the front desk quickly and efficiently located our names in their database for our online purchase of tickets. There is an ice cream shop located directly beside the aquarium’s entrance.
