Nice way to spend an hour
A standard ticket was 6GEL when I went in December 2022. A that tiny price, this small but nice museum is worth about an hour of your time. The best parts are the skulls, the greek pottery and the golden artifacts. Don't miss the gold room behind the guard as you exit the museum, I almost did. In the negative column, despite being the only visitor on a monday evening, this visit was so loud. One employee was facetiming a friend in the main exhibition hall during my entire visit. Other employees were arguing/debating outside. You kind of get the vibe you're disturbing them.

Small & interesting
This is nice small museum whith artifacts from Adjara region. It will be definitely interesting for those people who like such kind of things. It will take about 30 minutes to see everything. It cost only 3 GEL and you can pay by card.

Love history
I was happy to find out that at this museum you can get a guided tour - it's only 5GEL and was worth very tetri of it. The tour can be in either Georgian, Russian or English. The room with local flora and fauna was oldish, but if you consider that it was once a private collection, then take a quick walk and move on. The guide will be happy to give you all the details about the history of Adjaria and the city. If they ask you whether you want to see the skeleton of a whale or the rare chess collection - do take 5 minutes of our time and look! They are proud of the whale, but chess collection is one of the few in the world.
