Pink lake
I wasn’t expecting a lot from the pink lake as I had seen photos of it looking sort of tinged with pink but wow when we went it was pink alright! We were going to see it but stumbled upon an absolutely amazing view of it from some houses on a hill - it was great! You can also drive past it from the main road but not sure where you would have stopped to take any photos. It is secure as it is protected by the government. The iron in the lake gives it its pink colour. I thought it was amazing.

Not looked after
If you like salt lakes it’s worth the 20 manat I paid return from the metro. But unfortunately this place is not conserved and has sewers emptying in, some parts were pink with algae but not all, more brown. Definitely wouldn’t bring kids. I would go again but know most would be disappointed.

Not secure
There is no security in the building as there are no safe boxes in the rooms. Cameras are not working as well. Rooms are without internal locks
