Well Done Interesting Niche Museum
Although a carpet museum normally won't be an obvious item on our vacation to-do list, we were happy we went. The museum has a large collection of beautiful carpets. That being said, the museum isn't overwhelming and it is easy to walk around and quickly understand what you are looking at. We loved we could get a private guide on the spot for a reasonable price and loved even more that we could watch one or two women actually making carpets in the museum itself. Brilliant idea for the museum to do that because you can't really appreciate what goes into making the carpets unless you see how it is done.

Well - certainly lots of carpets ... with history.
Azerbaijan is proud of its carpet making heritage and you can certainly see that here. The building itself is supposed to look like a roll of carpet viewed from the end. Inside there are carpets of various styles and ages - all with information about where it's from, etc. We visited towards the end of a long day - it was interesting but maybe we weren't taking too much notice of each carpet by the time we got to the end.
