- 4.5 Yedigoller National Park (796 reviews)
-Autumn Magic
Spent More than 3 hours National Parks
I think we may have gone on the busiest day of the year -- mid Fall during a school holiday and it was so packed we had to park in the trees before even entering the gate, and even then had a wait. It was jammed with people but even so...just magnificent. The forest was probably the pretties example of autumn foliage I have ever seen. The road there from Bolu was narrow but well maintained and passed through one or two mildly snowy areas (but totally passable) See more..
- 4.5 Lake Golcuk (769 reviews)
-A real piece of heaven on earth
Bodies of Water
Lake Gölcük, as the Turkish name implies, is a very small lake but it should be regarded as a wonder of nature rather than a beautiful place to visit. Situated nearly at the top of a mountain range which borders Bolu city from its southern provincial districts, Lake Gölcük offers a great opportunity for a short but scenic walk in a forest of tall pines and beautiful trees. A lovely place to sit, relax, enjoy, eat, drink, meditate and energise! A nice hotel with good spa facilities is available only a 10-minute drive away. See more..
- 4.5 Atatürk Kosku (677 reviews)
-Ataturk house
Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Historic Sites
Ataturk Pavilion or Palace. No doubt it’s a magnificent place over a hilly area, surrounded by a beautiful garden with big colorful flowers. A 12.5 TL ticket allowed you to visit the house of the man who ruled Turkey for many years. The founder of modern Turkey used to live in this small house Hall, visitors room, will room, small kitchen and bathroom and an amazing balcony. A must visit place while in Trabzon. See more..

Highly enjoyable end of the day activity. -Nice for taking photos

You reach Boztepe by teleferik. It is a fabulous place to take nice photos and spend some time. Our experience with the fanciest restaurant was not good. So, try to buy freshly cooked gozleme from one of the local ladies. See more..

The nature drew an amazing coastline in these bays. They are called fjords, but quite different that Nordic ones. It is possible to have a picnic, even camp there. Be extra careful of strong currents if you decide to swim, there are instructions describing how to save yourself all around the beaches. Read them. See more..
- 4.0 Sinop Cezaevi (424 reviews)
-Chilling destination
Points of Interest & Landmarks
Sinop is a great place for shopping and has impressive fortifications but our main reason for strolling around was to visit the writers prison Cevaezi. We were not disappointed. The fact that this place was used until the 1960's is really very disturbing and anyone who has seen the film Midnight Express will know what to expect! I found it more disturbing than Alcatraz but it was an absolute "must see!" There was a charge for admittance but I'm not sure now how much but it was well worth it to explore this desolate, creepy and scary place. See more..
- 4.5 Erfelek Tatlica Selaleleri Tabiat Parki (417 reviews)
-Worth the drive
Parks
Long drive even from Erfelek, and the road is not very good but worth the drive. Beasutiful scenery on the way, you also pass by a beautiful dam-lake. Try to arrive early and visit many of the falls (there are total of 28 I think). There are places to sit down and make a picnic, there are bunch of restaurants around the lowest fall which offer variety of local food like etli ekmek (half-circle dough with meat inside, vegetables, etc. in it, like a thin/flat calzone), and kebap, etc. Very good fresh ayran (yogurt drink). Beautiful forests around. See more..

- 4.5 Inceburun Lighthouse (296 reviews)
-Pastoral Vista
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lighthouses
This lighthouse is famous for being located at 42nd north parallel, which means the northernmost point of Turkey. It's built back in 1863 and is run by the same family ever since. Commute to the lighthouse is easy in case you have a car, the road signs are very straightforward, but there is no public transportation to this destination. The place is very pastoral. The white lighthouse and blue sea on a shiny day creates almost a Greek island scene. There are cows and dogs of the lighthouse keepers grazing and walking around. For those who love to take photos, this place is a pastoral heaven. The family runs a small coffee shop there: you can order tea, coffee or ayran (a traditional Turkish beverage prepared with yogurt). But they don't serve food (however you can bring your own food). Make sure you visit this lovely spot when you are in Sinop, you definitely won't regret it. See more..

Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Canyons
The signs for this area are awful and the satellite navigation took as to a very small rundown area. But after asking local people and driving though small village we came to the lake. There is a small area to walk in with a few stalls selling water & not much else. Car park was 24TL. We went on a boat trip. - 4.0 Kastamonu Saat Kulesi (187 reviews)
-The other side of town
Historic Sites
If you, like me, end up staying a little but longer (2.5 days), it's nice to go up high to take a look at the city from above. After the walk to the castle, it seemed logical to take a look from the other side. Late October, and inclement weather, nobody was up there. But it's evident how nice it will be in summer. Sitting on the terrace, one gets a straight view to the castles and across the town and its lovely mosque roofs and architectural treats. The walk up from city centre will lead you past the impressive Atatürk and Şerife Bacı monument, and up the hill past abandoned wooden houses. Worth the quick walk. See more..

Friday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Caverns & Caves
Çal Cave is the second longest cave of the world. It is also good for asthma and sinusitis diseases due to its different air circulation. The cave has a length of 8 kilometers, but can be visited only for a length of about 1 kilometer. It is named after the village Çalköy, where it is located. It is rather a huge cave with a cave river. It was opened to the public in 2003. Great family visit, need to be very careful, slippery steps, have to watch your head and steps. Amazing nature around. Many cafes and cheap entrance ticket TL 12.5 See more..

- 4.5 Pokut Yaylası (130 reviews)
-High End
Spent More than 3 hours Mountains
This is really one of the most attractive highlands with a impressive view. But unfortunately a photo frame from this place is very famous at Instagram and a lot of people are coming to this highland to take that shoot and share on Instgram. So this place even though its very bad road under danger of illegal housing and crowds. The architecture is still original in the area but very close to those ugly, awful, multifold hotel buildings. Hey you, please don't go all this long way there just for a share and 35 likes. I'll promise to send you that photo and you can photoshop yourself on. See more..
