  5. 5.0 Rose & Sal (1 review)
    - The Coolest Shop in Town!
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops • Antique Shops
Rose & Sal Mercantile is a gigantic space full of vintage and antique furniture, household items, decorative object, gifts, office items, and more. Particularly rich in mid-century modern. There are wonderful pieces of vintage art glass, old cameras, posters, lamps galore, and lots of oddities and treasures. This is my very favorite shop in Yellow Springs, a town with lots of cool places! It is tastefully displayed and both the owner and the saleswoman are lovely and knowledgeable. See more..
  6. 4.5 Young's Jersey Dairy Farm (298 reviews)
    - FUN with Distancing
    Sunday: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM Farms
    Young's Jersey Dairy Farm image
Everything was operational. I expected poor distancing but it was really good. For a place usually walk-to-wall people, everyone was following the rules and staying one cow-length apart. As usual, the ice cream was DELICIOUS. See more..
  7. 4.5 Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve (232 reviews)
    - Great hike
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
Clifton Gorge State Nature Preserve image
We went for a 6 mile hike here and the adjoining John Bryant State Park. Beautiful and not really crowded for a Saturday. The views were excellent. These are not improved trails so be ready to climb and I would not recommend sandals. Good sturdy tennis shoes at least. And no strollers or wheelchairs due to the narrow trails, stairs, rocky surface. We had a great adventure and then off to Young’s for ice cream. See more..

Beautiful park and well maintained. The park was very clean and the walking trails are marked. They did suggest taking a picture of the map with your phone which was great for easy reference. This is also an easy trip from Cincinnati. I would certainly recommend this for an outdoor activity See more..
  10. 4.5 Yellow Springs Brewery (100 reviews)
    - Hidden gem

    Yellow Springs Brewery image
Great local brewery. Husband enjoyed the Amber Ale and I liked the pilsner. No food service and since it was a Monday they did not have a food truck. Their friendly staff suggested Sunrise Cafe for dinner which was amazing. We will certainly enjoy a beer at the brewery next time we’re in town. See more..
  11. 4.5 Little Art Theatre (35 reviews)
    - Escape
    Movie Theaters
    Little Art Theatre image
We attend movies at the Little Art because of its proximity. It is small, but clean with beautiful touches from the time when it opened (the ‘20’s) and the seats are very comfortable. You can enjoy the usual movie theatre fare, but you can also buy wine and beer and flavored waters. It has a small stage, so occasional local concerts are also held there. It’s a good place to get away for a couple of hours. See more..
  12. 4.5 Village Artisans Gallery (16 reviews)

  14. 4.0 Ohio Silver (3 reviews)
    - Been here for many a year ...
    Speciality & Gift Shops
When I was a teenager, this jewelry store was here! It's remained a constant (along with several other Yellow Springs icons.) Still has a kitty cat (actually, two of them now). They'll pierce your ears for you ... and the jewelry is arranged around the store by stone type. Reasonable pricing! There's an "artisan" store down the street that charges three times what this place does. Ohio silver is overwhelming in their selection. Down home feel. Not pretentious. See more..
  15. 3.0 House of Ravenwood (7 reviews)
    - Good Visit
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
    House of Ravenwood image
I spent the weekend hiking in the area and went into town just to check out House of Ravenwood. The store was much busier than I expected. They had a nice small-sized stone selection, some I had never seen and most with papers listing the properties of each you could take if purchasing that type. Staff were super friendly and the prices were fair. I will return when in the area. See more..
