In this charming little town is a restored train depot that serves as a hub for the some of the best bike trails imaginable. 5 main trails converge here - the Ohio-Erie Trail, the Little Miami Scenic Trail, Creekside Trail, Simon Kenton Trail and Xenia-Jamestown connector. These are wonderfully maintained paved trails that pass through woods, farms, rivers, parks, towns and cities. It's literally biking nirvana! Over three days we biked 160 miles on three paths and would have loved to stay longer. There are plenty of nice places to stop for coffee and ice cream, and a number of micro-breweries to visit too. Visiting Xenia and decided to play 9 holes. This course is very well taken care of but not terribly challenging, which was fine for me. The front nine is flat and has some water holes and mostly par 4's. The fellow at the office was very nice and accommodating as I needed to rent clubs, etc. The rental clubs were old and not clean but they served the purpose. See more..

As they enter their 10th season, X*ACT has scheduled 6 outstanding plays, including a reprise of one from their first season, "Our Town." I've attended quite a few of their shows over the past several years and they consistently bring great acting and small town enthusiasm to the stage. A high point of my visits is the new X*ACT Gallery in their lobby. It is filled with a wide variety of local art and fine crafts ranging from photography and paintings to mosaics and woodworking. We were in town for 2 days of soccer games. Park is really nice. Parking was near the fields. Lots of raised mounds near field to get clear views. The AIA campus connects to sports park so able to get some good walks in while waiting. A central permanent restroom and Porta potty at each field. Fairly clean. I do a 5 mile trail race early November by the ORRRC and it is a very challenging trail. The course is pretty with yellow leaves on the ground. It was warm enough for shorts in both 2017 and 18. Part of the trail near the river was muddy from either recent rain or flooding. The trail has at least 3 sets of wooden stairs making it a tough race. Happy hiking! See more..
