Wayne County Historical Society & Museum image
Very nice local museum that shares a little bit of the area history from the 1800's+. We went to the holiday open house and enjoyed touring the Beall-Stibbs family home and all the other buildings on the museum grounds. The entrance fee was $5 for non-member adults(children are free), and it was a well-spent $5. They currently have a vintage toy display, along with old vehicles, tools, etc. See more..

  8. 5.0 Amish Country Soap (1 review)
    - Total awesomeness
Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
If you love all natural skin and body care, then this place is for you! I am SO glad I finally stopped in. The clerk was VERY helpful explaining all the products to me and helping me pick out what I needed. The 'dirty boy' bar soap is superb for exfoliation. I have issues with dry skin on my hands since I work with animals all day and thus, wash my hands a LOT. I've tried many, many different moisturizers, but the tub of RAW STEEL I bought helps the dryness more than any other product I've ever used. The products are mildly scented and have the BEST natural ingredients. Stop in. It's well worth the visit. See more..
  9. 5.0 Rural King (1 review)
    - Excellent.
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Department Stores
I've found some good plants for my vegetable garden, plant pots, potting soil, high quality chocolate coconut candies, a battery for my Jeep, a book on chickens, windshield washer fluid, etc. Most recently I purchased a camouflage dog collar, various dog bones and treats, a larger scale toy box truck, Jeep, and and Semi w/ Log Hauler Trailer. As you can see, great selection / variety. Kind, courteous, professional service. Often good prices. Popcorn for customers is a nice feature. A point or two for constructive criticism: At times, it is noticeable that the store location itself could benefit from increased cleaning and / or increased general upkeep. But regardless, this is probably one of my favorite brick and mortar stores. Additional potential bonus: They allow well-behaved, leashed dogs. My dog becomes exceptionally excited when given the offer to visit Rural King to help shop and / or find her own new treats. See more..

We thoroughly enjoyed our random visit on a sunny Saturday on September. We were the "first in the door" that day and had a great conversation with the the ladies behind the bar. Very knowledgeable about the area and the wines, we were guided through the offerings. Everyone was friendly, the location was very nice (both inside and out) , the the wines were very good. We tasted everything that they had and ended up going home with a bottle of the 4:04 White, 1:55 Red and , and the 4:04 Rose. Very good spot to sit and while away the afternoon! See more..

  18. 4.5 SoMar Wine Cellars (10 reviews)
    - Unexpected delight
    Saturday: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM Bars & Clubs
In town for business and was intrigued by the sign out front. Simar offers both retail and dine-in service. Tough a limited number of bottles the breadth of wines meets anyone's needs and the prices are reasonable. They have both an inside bar and a enclosed shaded patio. I sat on the TiVo and enjoyed a number of white and red selections by the glass. I was impressed by each for the quality of the wine and the price. I also enjoyed a delicious cheese plate with three cheeses, red grapes, herb crusted hard salami and an assortment or olives. My only suggestion would be to find a local fresh bread to replace the package tasting toast points. Well worth a visit. See more..

This is a very low key public course run by the College of Wooster. It is a 9 hole course and would not be mistaken for a country club.
