As of 2017, a Glacial Lake Cranberries marsh tour is only available when you stay at The Stone Cottage at Glacial Lake Cranberries or at LeChateau Bed and Breakfast. Glacial Lake Cranberries has been producing cranberries for over 145 years and is one of the oldest cranberry marshes in central Wisconsin. Harvest time is the most colorful time to take pleasure in a tour and appreciate the natural beauty of the cranberry wetlands. During a guided tour you will see cranberry harvest and view a cranberry production video, cranberry memorabilia, and cranberry collectibles. Brings back memories from years back when this was the T.B. Scott Library. The location and building are picturesque. Flowers are well tended in the summer time. This zoo is a great experience for young kids under 10. It's much more relaxed than a typical zoo and features a small mix of animals. There is a petting zoo house where kids can feed goats, sheep, llama, and a cow. There is a zebra, ostrich, coati, artic fox, and geese, among other animals. Little ones can easily walk the grounds. This is a donation based location - so no fee for entry. The flowers are lovely to look at and there are nice restroom facilities. Right outside the zoo entrance, there is a park for kids with slides and swings. Parking is plentiful and free. We spent about 90 minutes looking at the exhibits and feeding the animals. The kids (ages 5 and 9) had a really great time and enjoyed it. If you're looking for something fun to do in Wisconsin Rapids, but don't have time for an "all day activity," this zoo should be on your list. See more..

This little water park is part of the City of Wisconsin Rapids Recreation Complex but is open to the public. Passes are very reasonable around $7 per person for the day. We joined our extended family in from California and Ohio for a fun week day activity in the summer when family was all together. We live 20 min away in Stevens Point so the drive was a super quick one over. Highlights at the park include a small lazy river, two nice water slides, a really nice kiddy pool area with a couple of nice slides, and a larger pool with bball hoops, log jumping pads, a rock wall and a zip line of some sort. The park has lots of seating, very nice chairs, shade options, and a reasonably priced snack shack. Hard to find a better deal and fun for the price. See more..
