Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites

A magnificent mansion house sitting overlooking the Mississippi River. Over 150 years old, it’s steeped in American history, Greek styling and Italian influences, with 15 foot high ceilings and a semi-circular white ballroom with Corinthian panels and hand cast archways. The guided tour was extremely informative if a little long and over self-indulgent by the guide/actor, who even shed a tear when thanking us all for coming (well I suppose it helps encourage the tips….) but nonetheless it was well worth a couple of hours of our time.
