Speciality Museums
My child and I visited this museum on a Friday. It was hot in the museum. They were working on the air conditioner inside. However terry Craig provided the best time considering the circumstances. My 3 year old did want to leave. Mr Craig told us that he would run the h o scale train as long as he could. Which he did. One thing you need to do is the scavenger hunt there is a reward if you complete hint hint! I plan on returning soon! See more..
- 5.0 Soprano's Cafe & Billiards (1 review)
-Local Billiards Hall, Full Bar, Cafe
Bars & Clubs
This where the locals hang. 8 pool tables. Stocked Bar and some new twists on bar sandwich's. Folks were friendly, bar tenders fast and attentive. Reasonable prices. Now this is a smoking establishment. With that said not everyone is smoking and it is a large hall. Was not an issue. Turn of the century building has some old charm. Old CRT TV's, one small flat screen with promises to upgrade. Closed on Sundays why I don't know. Its an old time bar, Dont expect glitz and glamour, but you won't go broke having a good time. - 4.5 Waverley Mansion (93 reviews)
-Waverly Plantation
Sunday: Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings
Temporarily Closed Waverley Mansion is one of the most outstanding antebellum plantation homes in the South. After having been vacant for over 50 years, the Snow family purchased it and slowly and lovingly restored it to its original glory. It is furnished with outstanding antiques and features original mirrors, chandeliers, books, trunks, and other items. It can be reached by boat on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway or by car via Highway 50 from either West Point or Columbus. The most amazing feature is the 65 foot high entrance hall crowned by an octagonal cupola. Listed on The National Register of Historic Buildings and A National Historic Landmark, the property was recently listed on the Civil War Trail. See more..

Golf Courses
We played an enjoyable round of golf. The course was in great shape and there was no shortage of bunkers. The staff were friendly and helpful, always with a smile. We stayed 2 nights in one of the cabins which was a different experience. The room was spacious, clean, modestly decorated. The bathroom was modern and roomy. There was a common living area we shared with others which was enjoyable. This would be great for a group who would take over the entire cabin. Checking in and out was a little confusing but staff were very helpful. See more..

-Anniversary Exploring
Sunday: Spent 2-3 hours Speciality Museums • History Museums
This is a cozy little museum filled with the legacy of Howling Wolf himself and other legendary artist as well. The tour guide was Jeremy. He is very knowledgable about blues history in general. Markers of Howling Wolf are across the street. This museum is a must see if you appreciate the heritage of rhythm and blues. See more..
