  1. 5.0 Farmhouse Lounge (1 review)
    - This is not your regular bar!
    Monday: Bars & Clubs
We've lived in the area for almost a year and had never heard of this place. The other night we were enjoying a bottle of wine with some friends and the band wasn't that good. We asked the winery owner where she would recommend we continue the party and she told us about the Farmhouse Lounge. Before you go, you need to know a couple of things. If you are expecting something that tells you this is a bar, don't. You are going to be pulling onto a farmsite where someone lives. There might be cows or goats or something in the pens on the place (it was dark when we got there). When you park (and you will just park in the yard) follow the arrows to the backdoor of the house (not the duplex). You feel like you should knock. I mean, THIS IS A HOUSE! But you don't need to. When we walked in, there was a group of people playing cards on a kitchen table. We asked if we should have knocked, and everyone just said, "No! C'mon in! Glad you're here!" We made our way through the living room and into the room that had the bar. They've got a little bit of everything and the drinks are good! Cocktails are served in canning glasses, beer is served in the bottle. Every room has a table or two with Trivial Pursuit cards on it. Apparently, this was Grandma's house. She hated alcohol. The owner, used the house for her candle business when Grandma died. But she decided it would be more fun to own a bar than make candles. So she started the bar. Judging by the pictures on the wall, everybody in the family skydives. I didn't ask, but it is entirely possible Grandma passed when she fell out of a plane. It is an absolutely great place! And then the owner started the candle business back up so you can pick out homemade candles and embroidered shirts in one of the rooms. I haven't had this much fun in years! If the weather's right, you can sit in the beer garden attached to the house and enjoy your drinks outside. Definitely going back. See more..
