Love everything about this wine bar. The living-room style set-up, the small (10 seats?) bar, the tasting area, and the automated wine pours that allow me to satisfy my curiosity about ~24 wines and select the size of my pours. Very friendly and knowledgeable owners. Love the vibe and the exposed cream city brick. Great small plates (cheese and charcuterie, most notably). I'm following them on FB, love the wide variety of high-quality tasting events that they host for about 12-14 people (sign up early!) and their happy hours. This park features access to Fox River, and quite a few nice wooded trails. It has many other amenities, but since I am mostly concerned with hiking in the woods, hereby my verdict on that topic. Of course being a County park, there are quite a few people around, so this is not like "out in the woods". But worth a visit if you're looking for a shade in hot summer. We mini golf every chance we get. This course is clean, well kept and very challenging. If you think it looks easy, think again. The cup design creates lots of rim shots that totally steal your geme puts. I hate places that bank everything for quick low par games so they can pump out more people for the bigger profit. The only thing better than a tough course is a staff that treats you well. Mia was so pleasent, it seemed as though we were family she hadn't seen in a while. I could not believe this find. Unfortunately, it is at a Cemetery, however, it is the internment site of Les Paul. Mr. Paul grew up in Waukesha, and his grave site resides in the middle of this tiny cemetery. The granite marker surrounding the grave site is etched with all of his musical accomplishments. He is buried next to his mother, and his real last name; Lester William Polsfuss, is on his tombstone. If you are fortunate, (Tuesday or Wednesday) mornings you may just meet a famous musician who come to the grave site to pay their respects, and leave behind guitar picks. See more..

I love this place! The pirate theme is a great touch to the not-to-creative Waukesha. It's really cute, and the prices aren't too bad. They also have a driving range and a batting cage, in which for one token (I forgot the price, I think $1:00?) you get 25 swings! There is a whole that's difficult to get the ball in, so you get a free game if you get it in. It's also right next to a McDonalds, so if you get hungry afterwards, you could eat! For kids (12 & under until a certain age), it's 5 dollars. For adults (13 up), it's 7 dollars. The price covers admission, a club, and a ball. While on a business trip in the Milwaukee area, I stopped at a post office to mail a package. I asked the postal worker about downtown Waukesha, and she told me to try Poppin' on Broadway. I am so glad I took her advice. The popcorn is amazing and the owner is very friendly. She creates a variety of popcorn flavors that do not disappoint! I bought the Southwestern Jalapeno Cheddar, the Cheezey Caramel, the Banana Split, and the Dill Pickle. All were wonderful, but the Cheezey Caramel and Jalapeno Cheddar were my absolute favorites. I even revisited the shop before I left so that I could take some popcorn home! It lasts for a good while! The owner ships popcorn around Christmas, so I will most certainly make an order!
