    Vernon Vineyards Ltd image
We arrived on a day that the wine maker and owner were present and maintaining the vines. The tasting room was officially closed, but they saw us and were more than welcoming. We tasted many wines and ENJOYED this visit A LOT. We support the individual business owners when traveling and bought a case of great wine which we will share and enjoy now that we are home. We also tasted many grapes and were given a beginner lesson in reading "bricks" and choosing when to pick for the season. This was by far an amazing afternoon of fun with some new friends. We will return! See more..

We went to the Fourtney Underground last nite thoroughly enjoyed it! We got the fancy pants seats (2nd row) and our ticket ($15) included wine - woo hoo! It is an intimate theatre setting - only about 50 seats. The actors were fabulous and everyone was so warm and friendly, we felt like part of the theatre family. Can't wait for the next performance. Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks
    Sidie Hollow County Park image
I came here mainly to hike, and on the hot day hiked near the lake, and it was very good. I cannot speak on the campgrounds, since I didn't use them. This is being in the Driftless area of Wisconsin, there are no true lakes here, and this lake is just like the rest of them - dammed creek. This doesn't diminish its value as a body of water - to the contrary there is a lake where none is supposed to be naturally. See more..

While including the latter, this tour is about much more of a history of the Black Hawk war, the people associated with it and the locations of note surrounding the events of that historic struggle. It starts at the Pioneer Cemetery in Viroqua and ends across Vernon county on Mississippi banks. There are 11 locations to see. See more..
