   This is the site of a Confederate fort built at a crossing of the Sabine river between Texas and Louisiana. It suffered recently from flooding and during our visit there was evidence that the cleanup has not been completed but there are plenty of outdoor playground equipment for the youngsters and a boat launch for Sportsman which are definitely back to use. There are a few Confederate related items and a place to park RVs as well as tent camping. Be careful of mosquitoes and stay hydrated. See more..
