   We were looking for an inshore charter for 2 fathers & sons ( 9 & 10 yr olds fishing for 2 days). I came across Salty Marsh Charters. So, I called & spoke with Captain Jacob Morris & later his wife, to book the trip. When I told him we were bringing 2 young boys he was eager to share his fishing skills and expertise, with them. The fishing was great, as was the experience with Captain Jacob. The boys had a blast with him and he was great and patient with them.    Fished in early September 2013 for a bachelor party on the Strike Zone. The overnight trip for big tuna was excellent catching a slew of black fin and yellow fin. Dinner (steak) and lunch (jambalaya) were provided. I will say you better be ready to fight some fish and be ready to wrestle the big yellows ( i wouldnt do this if you and your group arent prepared to fight large tuna 50+ lbs!!). The captain and deck hands were excellent and attentive to what we wanted to catch and our needs on board. There are showers and restrooms on board for comfort. The cabin was fully air conditioned with flat screen satellite which was a relief in the September heat. We watched football during our run offshore. I'd also recommend you rest as much as possible on the way out to prepare for the tuna wrastlin'. See more..

   My son and I enjoyed a great trip fishing for reds with Captain Pete on his Rodbenders Charter. Thoughthe day was a bit rough due to the winds, and the water choppy, Pete kept us dry and onto the fish. We landed about thirty fish that day, including our limit of redfish. On day two we went out for bull reds. Our first time. What an experience! A beautiful day, and when the bulls hit, you know it. Great meals after the trip as well.    I've fished with Captain Bobby Warren for several years (and I've been fishing for over 60 years), and I'm amazed how he always puts us on fish. This trip with my oldest daughter and her husband was no exception. We left the Venice marina and headed east to the edge of the Gulf of Mexico, trying a couple of spots that didn't pan out aside from a couple of stingrays and a flounder. So, he quickly found a point sticking out into the Gulf that looked likely, and sure enough, we ended up staying there the remainder of the trip, limiting out on redfish, including several over 27" that we released (see pictures). We also caught other species including black drum, sheepshead, croaker, and catfish. I heard later that not all captains going out that day had clients who limited out on redfish. Another great thing about Captain Bobby is he's flexible about who he takes. If you're experienced, he'll only help you when you need it, but he's helped others I've taken - including novices - learn how to use the equipment; he helped guide a cousin of mine who'd not fished in decades to catch her biggest-ever redfish – she was thrilled. In addition, Captain Bobby is great at conversation - we had a lot of good laughs on this trip. If you're looking for a very experienced inshore guide, with a nice 26' boat and quality equipment, I don't think you can go wrong with Adventure Charters and Captain Bobby Warren! See more..

    As is the case with most fishing adventures, weather played a role. We were scheduled to fish offshore but strong winds prevented this. The 4 of us had traveled from multiple states and was impossible to rebook future date that we could all make work Captain Bobby Kenny was awesome quickly arranging an inshore trip that proved to be an equal substitute. He quickly put us on multiple LARGE RED FISH He was well versed in the local area and nearly all outdoor activities. His outdoor knowledge was only second to his personality.     Well, all 6 of us crossed off a Bucket list item all on the Same Day, Same TRIP !! Capt. Mikee, Safari Blue Charters & his Boat the “ Frayed Knot “, put Us on 9 Giant Yellow Fin Tuna’s, We landed 4 of the 9 as 2 got into each other & broke line, 1 got under the boat & in the prop, the other 2 we just couldn’t keep the rod bent!!     Absolutely amazing day on the water with Captain Chad and Mate Barrett. They were a seamless team. There were four of us, we had eight tuna on the boat very quickly. Set out for a swordfish afterwards (our dynamic duo had brought 160 pounder in the day before) No luck there but who’s complain and after what we already had in the boat! Highly highly recommend.     Myself and 5 other family members fished with Captain John and mate Anthony on October 5, 2019. I can't say enough good things about them! Our boat was the 42' Conch and it was awesome! The captain had us on fish within 10 minutes of getting to the first rig we fished. We limited out on yellow fin within two hours. After limiting, we deep dropped for swordfish and caught a 151 pounder and lost another one. Besides the fishing, the Lodge is also amazing, it is clean, comfortable and has everything you could want/need in a lodge setting.     Fished with Joey. Wanted to tuna fish but Joey was more interested in catching mahi and orher misc fish. He informed us in the am that he had stayed up too late drinking and felt lousy. I feel that when we pay for a charter the captain should not be hung over and give 100 percent to his charter. Another complaint is he seems to not care about your comfort. We had about 3-4 ft seas and he would run at 45-50 mph. Everyone got beat up. Not once did he ever ask if anyone was comfortable. I could keep going on about how unprofessional Joes is as a captain but u get the picture If I could give u a little advice Joey please pay more attention to your clients requests and comfort See more..
