We were detoured off the Natchez Trace Parkway and wandered into this park with a little research we had already done at home. The winding road through the deep woods and rivers led us to a beautiful historic bridge constructed in the 1930s. It’s a 1930s swinging bridge for pedestrians made of cables, heavy timber on the walkway, and stone/masonry for supports on both ends. Only five people are allowed on at a time. It was really fun. They have tents to camp in there and cabins. Great for groups and school groups. See more..
