  1. 5.0 Hawkes Crystal (1 review)
    - A touch of Ireland
Sunday: Spent < 1 hour Speciality & Gift Shops
Trained in Ireland, under Edward Flavin at Waterford Crystal, AidanJ Scully is an amazing artist with phenominal pieces. If you have ever enjoyed the beauty of the Waterford show room in Ireland, you will appreciate the array of pieces from ornaments to vases he has displayed in the showroom. What is nice, is that he is able to customize orders with different patterns and engraving. Aidan has been featured at the Corning Museum in New York, Toledo Museum of Art. A small shop but well worth a visit! See more..

I was there recently to see a screening of "It's a Wonderful Life" around the holidays, but I have attended many concerts, plays and comedy shows over the years. This theater is a true gem. It's absolutely gorgeous and anyone who has a chance to take in an event at The Ritz should definitely do so. There aren't too many places like this any more. This is a true Tiffin treasure. We stopped by while we were in Tiffin to see some art glass and indulge in glass history. This is a well laid out museum and shoppe with some items for sale. Our docent, a gentleman, was very knowledgeable about the making of glass and Tiffin history in general. See more..

Collier (Howard) State Nature Preserve image
We walked the mile loop trail while we were In Tiffin, OH for a few days. The trail was nice. A lot of steps on one end. Don’t even consider the .2 mile trail to the bridge. Nothing to see there. When we were there the mosquitoes were out in droves and constantly bitting us. All around it’s a nice one mile loop trail with steps going down on one end and going up the trail on the other end. We choose to walk up the abandoned road instead of the trail to get out of the woods and quit getting bit by mosquitoes. See more..

We are lucky enough to live within walking distance of the park so we often walk down and get exercise playing disc golf or just walking the paths throughout the park. My husband plays softball at the park's ballfield and our daughter plays sand volleyball in the league they offer. Such a great community amenity! See more..

By far the best chicken chunks ever. Never frozen. Sauce list out of this world. I've tried them all. Weekly visit here for me. I work 30 minutes away and this place is out of my way to get home. Does not matter. It is worth the trip. Great food only starts with the chunks. Vast menu of great offerings for any taste. Get here and enjoy. See more..

American Civil War Museum Of Ohio image
We spent 3 hours at this well thought out museum. We were greeting by a volunteer gentleman who was very helpful in suggesting the progression of the museum with a well laid out brochure. We shared some stories back and forth and were on our way. You can spend as much or little time as you wish at each exhibit. Obviously, we spent quite a while in each room since we shut down the place. We were especially pleased that there is so much information regarding the big part Ohio played in the Civil War. We had no idea! Be sure to check the hours since this large museum is staffed solely by volunteers! THANK YOU GARY! Oh yes, if you're looking for a place to eat, we suggest MST Pub & Grill right around the corner on Madison St. Generous portions, very good at reasonable prices. Try the Chicken fillets with tator tots. Tim & Jean See more..
  10. 4.5 Seneca County Museum (3 reviews)

    Seneca County Museum image
The Seneca Co. Museum is a very well kept and well "stocked" archive of historical items, and photos that are unique to not only Seneca Co., but Ohio, and some even relate to the U.S. Nation. Civil war items, antique collections, and historical paintings and photos will keep you busy looking for hours. You can have a guided tour by volunteers, OR you can just walk the museum on your own. It's a no cost way to spend an intellectual and intriguing afternoon. Everyone should come and learn about the history of our nation, state, and county.... See more..

  12. 4.5 Tiffin Historic Trust Grammes-Brown House (2 reviews)
    - A fine old house
Sunday: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM Speciality Museums
My wife and I enjoyed a tour of this fine old Victorian-era house, which possesses great charm and feels like the home it once was. The guides made us welcome and were eager to explain various details of the house and history. Many exhibits, furnishings, photos and paintings dating from first occupancy up to the time the last member of the family, Rosina M. Brown passed away in 1988 are on display. She was quite a traveler! We were fortunate to visit when a living tableau act took place showing the correspondence between Rosina and her German boyfriend living in Nazi Germany. The house is handicapped accessible apart from the upper floor. For those who like dolls, a museum dedicated to these shares part of the house. See more..
