My wife and I traveled here this past March, the weather was fantastic and really enjoyed what we found. This NWR is located in SW Mississippi near the town of Sibley. It was established to conserve the integrity of a dynamic bottomland hardwood forest ecosystem in the Lower Mississippi River Valley. This refuge gives you the opportunity to get out and walk (many walking trails, view the wildlife and enjoy the outdoor air. We very much enjoyed the beautiful visitor center and interacting with the staff. The refuge offers many other things to do like hunting, fishing and canoeing/kayaking. We utilized some of the photo blinds for photographic opportunities. Bring your family (especially children), binoculars, camera and enjoy what this part of Mississippi has to offer. Wonderful place if you enjoy walking. See more..
