    We have rented a double kayak the last two years on our anniversary week. We enjoy paddling around South Cove on Lake Keowee. This year we wore new life vests that were very comfortable and designed with kayaking in mind. The service at the lake was excellent as well. Great selection of wines by bottle or glass. Featured regions change every 8 weeks. Small selection of nibbles, charcuterie, chocolates to accompany the wine. Also craft beer and NA drinks available.     It is 43,000 acres of wonderfulness. Many trails, paths, waterfalls, and Lake Jocassee. I can be reached by boat from Jocassee, or hiking along CaneBrake trail ( 8 miles or so each way) or the Foothills trail connector near Jumping off rock. It can be a challenge to hike around but the views and scenery are worth it You can do day hikes or overnights and camp under the stars. Depends what you want. Camping is located on a 15 acre peninsula offering 86 campsites with water and electricity on each site with 41 sites waterfront. Two bath houses serve the campground area and a dump station is located near the entrance of the park. South Cove Park offers a wide variety of day use facilities as well as lakeside camping. Fishing, boating, sailing and water skiing are readily available via three access ramps. Day use facilities include four tennis courts, basketball, playground areas, picnic areas, a handicapped accessible fishing pier and a waterfront beach for sunbathing. This guy will spend sooo much time helping you, is so attentive, nothing is an inconvenience to him and he makes you feel like the only person on the property. Even if you might possibly buy somewhere else, he'll still help you with advice and things to watch for.     We have never been here before and happen to find website while searching for a place to camp around Lake Hartwell. We have pop up trailer and normally stay at KOA to have good shower facilities. This park is beautiful. Big camp sites. You are not looking in your neighbors window. Bath facilities are great. Very well maintained. Great swim beach. Lots of lakefront and Lakeview sites.
