What a wonderful time we had on the sunset cruise. Sheryl guided us around part of the lake sharing the history, geology, and info about the plant and animal life along the shore. There was an opportunity to swim in a small cove which has a waterfall. It was a relaxing time spent on a gorgeous lake topped off with a lovely sunset over the mountains which reflected on the water. Just beautiful. See more..

We had a great time touring Lake Jocasse with Kevin at Southern Outlaw Adventures. We had contemplated renting a boat and exploring the lake ourselves but it was almost the same price as a 4 hour tour. We were able to sit back and relax while Kevin took us to all the must-see spots on the lake. Some were tucked away and would have been difficult to find by ourselves. Absolutely enjoyed our tour with Sam on Lake Jocassee. We had plenty of room for our party of six, and the boat was very comfortable. Sam is very friendly and helpful, and has great knowledge of the lake and the area. We had to maneuver around a little bit of rain (very common on this lake), but Sam handled it really well. Jocassee Adventures is a really nice place to get hooked up for fun on, and in, beautiful Lake Jocassee - a perfect mountain lake. I've personally visited 5 of the waterfalls on this lake and even kayaked behind one of them! I mentioned in the lake because these friendly folks are the ones to go to for SCUBA diving in the area (Lake Jocassee and Lake Keowee depending on the time of year). It's always a treat to enjoy the scenery during the boat ride across the lake to the dive site and then slip into the cool water in the shadow of the cliff wall. If you're not SCUBA certified but would like to be they'll be glad to get you in one of their classes. They also have complete equipment rentals and compressors for air and nitrox fills. I also want to mention that these folks are super-friendly and helpful which is why they earn my repeat business year after year. See more..

Advance vacation rental reservations required, The campsites and cabins need to be booked well in advance of your overnight stay at this Park during peak Spring / Summer / Fall Season. Online searches for Lake Jocassee vacation rentals will show very few results but there are a few really nice properties adjoining the park. The $8 per adult $5 per child daily admission charge may make purchasing an Annual SC State Park Pass a better deal if you are staying outside the Park at a private property. Took a 4 hour kayak tour on the lake and explored the lovely lakeside scenery. Easy to book over the internet although I just showed up and rented. Good equipment that with life jacket and small waterproof box included in the rental price. Remember to bring drinks and food. See more..

Very helpful and worked with our needs. There were 6 in our group, suggested the size pontoon that would suit our needs based on what we stated we wanted to do. Honest, didn't try to overcharge us with something we didn't need. We had 3 dogs (pets allowed) for an extra fee. Choice of how many hours we wanted to hire. Pontoon in the water ready for us, and staff there to greet us on the day. Quick education on the running of the pontoon, ( not complicated). Cooler provided which we didn't know beforehand. Minor issue. Had no issues the whole day and had great time. Staff at the dock when we came back in. Only pay for fas used. Great day, highly recommended company. See more..

Kelly and Hunter saved our day. After another vendor was a no show, we found this company and we are so grateful. We had travelled an hour to rent a pontoon boat and we were left standing. In a last ditch effort to make the best of a bad situation, we stopped in here. They brought us a boat immediately. Treated us with respect, professionalism and kindness. The boat was great! Clean after a season of hard use, I'm sure and well equipped. The price was less than the previous vendor. We had a wonderful day on the water and we couldn't be happier. Thank you JOC! BTW.. people come to see the waterfalls and that' s a great thing. But there is more to see on Lake Jocassee . It is a stunning place with pristine waters and gorgeous forests. See more..

This place offers boat rentals, fuel, food, a place with bathrooms along the highway. It is a convenient place to stop along the highway or if looking for a boat rental or other outdoor lake activities.
