   The Petty Museum is located at the Old Race Shops where so many of those famous #43 race cars were built. It is a wonderful museum that contains a number of race cars that were driven by 4-generations of Petty's. The museum is in two buildings and displays the first car to bear the STP Color of Petty Blue and Dayglow Orange along with the Car that Richard drove in his last race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in 1992. The staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful and more than willing to answer any questions that you may have. I spent a couple of hours at the museum and feel like that was adequate to see everything that the museum has to offer. I visited in March 2021 and found that the museum and staff were in compliance with all of the COVID protocols that were in place at the time of my visit. I enjoyed my visit and would highly recommend it to any NASCAR Fan. See more..
