Our son treated the immediate family to a fishing trip this morning. It was a great experience. Mike and his first mate were informative, fun, and really helpful. Everyone caught at least one keeper. As a child in the late 60s, we would go to the Princeton flea market almost every weekend with Mom and Grandma to buy produce for the weekend, and browse. In reading others reviews, I would have to say if anyone thinks it’s a small flea market or their experience is so so, it could very well be because of the weather. Many of the vendors are retired and inclement weather can be a factor to consider. If you pick a nice day or a holiday weekend you can easily spend hours at the flea market itself. Over the years, Princeton flea market has gained more tool vendors, T-shirts, sweatshirts and other modern day must haves. There are still plenty of antiques and collectibles available, homemade food items and vendors will satisfy your hunger and thirst. This is a great destination and the people are very friendly. Had an exhilarating trip down the Mecan River. Staff let us know immediately there were some rapids to maneuver, about a 3 foot drop, below the dam from the start point. Never having kayaked rapids before didn't know if we should do the trip. Decided to do it and so glad we did. Kelly, pointed out rapids on the way to drop off point and stopped, on bridge, to make sure we get thru ok on her way back. The adrenaline was definitely pumping. Some arm strength is needed to get around (or thru in my case) downed trees. Definite current but made for a memorable trip. To top off the trip had an eagle fly up river in front of us. While we were in the area, we stopped in this shop just to browse. There were many interesting unique pieces—both large and small. A piece of furniture caught our eye but we didn’t think it would fit in our car. The owner was extremely helpful but not overbearing, telling us the history of the piece. He pointed out that it came apart and we walked away with a special momento from our trip that we can’t wait to feature in our upcoming kitchen renovation. See more..
