I HIGHLY recommend Captain Jake and the Valkyrie for your sailing experience. Beautiful boat, Jake is amazing and accommodating, and we had great wind! My son and I have sailed smaller sailboats, but the Valkyrie is an extremely comfortable beauty. Her size and amenities allow sailing in conditions that would chase most boats off of the water. Captain Jake is easy to talk to, super professional, and fun! One of our group had never sailed before, and because of our experience would love to learn to sail. This place is wonderful! The owners were there while we shopped and really knew their products (of which there are a lot!) We’ve lived in PC for a bit over a year now and this is our new favorite shop, hands down. Their candles are made by the owners and are wonderful. Their soaps, lotions, and bath bombs smell amazing, too! They also have a wide range of camping, beach, and lake-themed gear. The Liberty Aviation Museum is a newer "working" museum that opened in July of 2012 at the Erie-Ottawa International Airport (PCW Carl Keller Field) in Port Clinton, Ohio. Our museum consists of our B-25 Mitchell, WWII bomber "Georgie's Gal" built in 1945, recently restored by Aero Trader out of Chino, CA. Ground vehicles include a 1941 Dodge ambulance, 2 Jeeps, German 37mm AA gun, German Horch Truck, German Field Kitchen, German Kubel, 3 BMW Motorcycles, Tiger Tank Replica, Hetzer Tank Replica, Panther Tank Replica (currently undergoing restoration away from the museum), & 2 WWII PT boats under current restoration (The PT-728 Thomcat is currently on display while restoration work is being completed in the museum's new hangar expansion. The sister boat, the PT-724 is currently on display outside by the museum's second hangar. The PT-728 Thomcat will be available for boat experiences when restoration is completed. We have many items that are on rotating display that may not always been on display throughout the year during your visit. Please contact us if you are interested in viewing a specific item. On permanent display within our galleries is the WWII service uniform of actor Clark Gable. The museum also has 3 screen worn uniforms from the actors who played Col. Klink, Col. Hogan, & Sgt. Schultz from the TV show Hogan's Heroes. On our first walk around the downtown area we made the point to stop by The Listening Room and we are happy that we've done so. when we came a young artist, Lauren May, just started her set and we were captivated. TLR are famous for putting the emphasis on the listening experience and respect for their artists. the food was great and the bar selections were many. This place was so much fun for my family. We have a 7, 5 and 2 year old. They loved the Waterpark. They even got us adults to do the water slides with them. We also did the go karts and zoos. The animals were well taken care of and we were able to feed them right out of our hands. We were also able to do the drive thru zoo and feed them as well. All of the workers were so kind and helpful. We ended up buying 3 awesome tie dye beach towels as well ✌ The weather turned bad on us fast so the owner ended up giving us a free pass for another day. Still looks cool and inside is cool and interesting stuff, but not sure there is all that much fresh cheese here, but alot of variety in prepackaged cheese. Guessing when Port Clinton is busier they probably do alright still maybe, but not many people on this day. I loved everything in the shop which was mostly related to Lake decor and clothing. Great atmosphere and it is located on a boardwalk overlooking water with lots of swimming fish that you can feed during the on season. This is a cute little plaza and has a great restaurant across the water on the boardwalk called Ciao Bella (An Italian restaurant) which is great for lunch or dinner while you shop the plaza. Went to get keys from the commodore and asked desk clerk where we could get a good dinner and he recommended Mr Eds which is located in the hotel. We took are granddaughter here and we had a great time. Bumper boats in the water with water cannons, 18 hole miniature golf course, race cars, big pools for swimming with slides and tunnels. Small pool for small kids and a water jungle gym. Even a pool side with water about 4 inches to walk in. There is a zoo that has a variety of animals. Got to see a newborn kangaroo stick its bald head out of the mothers pouch! Never saw that before!! Places to eat but we brought our own and ate in the car. You can come in and out as many times as you want. We bought our tickets on Groupon and saved big bucks! Los of seating and some lockers. Come during the week for less crowds. See more..
