- 5.0 The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas (3 reviews)
-Adds a lot to Pine Bluff
Art Galleries • Science Museums
If you haven't been here, you need to visit. There are basically three things that take place here: private events which, if you're not invited, you can ignore, rotating static events which are mostly drop by anytime at your convenience, and special events which have specified times and sometime a fee. The staff works hard to make things interesting and largely succeed. Or maybe they always succeed and sometimes I fail? See more..

-two steps from city, and you're in the wilds
Bodies of Water
Headwaters to "The worlds largest Bayou: Bayou Bartholomew is a beautiful piece of water. I took my kayak down behind the local Wal Mart parking lot where locals were fishing from the bank. Easy parking and boat launch access and I was trimmed upstream through the reeds and cattails. Some local group oversees this body of water. It was free of tree snags for as far as I could go. Once before I've gone downstream, under the freeway cloverleaf (too fun!) and into the thick of the swampy parts. It was beautiful! If you like the outdoors, try this body of water. There are great walking paths upstream a bit at 'Old Waren Road' if you don't want "IN" the water. Snake-spotting is a pretty safe bet. All free, of course. See more..
- 4.0 Murals Of Pine Bluff (9 reviews)
-Walk thru History, Pine Bluff, Arkansas Murals
Points of Interest & Landmarks
If you enjoy history, you will enjoy the awesome murals painted throughout downtown Pine Bluff, Arkansas. About a dozen murals honor, different & interesting things about Pine Bluff. I do love the one, of 1888 Main St., showing our beautiful old Courthouse. Very informative ones; of two Pine Bluffians, Freeman Owens, who developed sound-on-film technology, still used today. Also, movie 1st cowboy, Max Anderson "Bronco Billy". See more..
