    Klave's Marina image
This was our first time renting a boat and traveling the chain of lakes and we loved it! The 5 of us (2 adults, 3 teens) had plenty of room on the 22' boat which looked brand new. Traveling through the lakes we saw turtles, muskrats and even saw a hawk snatch a fish out of the water. Lunch at Zukey Lake Tavern was easy to pick up and enjoy on the boat. We stopped at several sandbars to swim. Klave's did a great job explaining the boat and the map. We'll be back! See more..

    Spent 1-2 hours Spas
THis is a very nice place to get your relaxation mode on. They were not crowded when I went which made it so nice not to stand in line. They were very prompt to get to me and the massage was great. I felt so much better leaving out than walking in. See more..

  5. 4.5 Lakelands Trail State Park (37 reviews)
    - Great for a walk
    Hiking Trails
    Lakelands Trail State Park image
This is by my house and I have to say, I am spoiled with this trail. This trail is no longer a state park, but is maintained locally. It is well groomed and maintained, even in winter some of it is scraped. The trail is paved from Hamburg to Pinckney, past the west side of Pinckney it is not paved. The trail is approximately 20 miles long and runs into Stockbridge. The paved part is great for walks, bicycling, running or blading, and is nicely shaded. There are many places to park near M-36 or at the trailhead on M-36 and Pettysville. There are porta-potties at M36 and Pettysville, along with parking. The unpaved trail has been used by horses and is very rough, not very suitable for biking. There are a few benches in some areas, no picnic tables or playgrounds, this is strictly a trail. If you plan on walking your dog, there are disposal stations for dog waste. See more..

  7. 4.0 Pinckney Recreation Area - Bruin Lake (36 reviews)
    - Excellent area for walking near Ann Arbor
    Parks
Pinckney Recreation Area - Bruin Lake image
Pinckney Rec is about 15 miles NW of Ann Arbor but can be quite hard to find without a decent map, as there are few signposts (if you go through Dexter, fork right at the sider stall, turn left at the next signals, then right at the Lakes Plaza). However it’s worth seeking out if you have some spare time in the area and fancy a place to jog, walk or just chill out. Visitors in winter still have to pay an admission fee, and for an out of state rental car with one person for one day this felt quite hefty, especially as the bathrooms were closed for the winter, and the only facility was – ahem – primitive. On the other hand, if you are a state resident and buy an annual pass it’s a superb deal. Mostly it’s rolling deciduous woods with a network of paths – the park office will provide a map – leading down to a lakeshore. On a fine winter’s day it was peaceful, despite there being plenty of cars in the parking lot. See more..
  8. 4.0 Timber Trace Golf Club (31 reviews)
    - New management is making a strong comeback
    Golf Courses
    Timber Trace Golf Club image
Sad to say, this course has suffered. But now in 2022, it is under new management, and the course has improved immensely. It was still a bit rough on the edges, but the new people are doing a great job to get it back to shape. We really enjoyed our round, and we plan to get back again soon. See more..
