   Jolly Mill Park is a private park, costs $5 to enter per vehicle (honor system). There are many historical buildings. Most are only open during specific times, but you can wander around and look inside through the windows. haha We were lucky enough to be there on the first Saturday of the month when the historic grist mill was open and operating. The building dates to pre Civil War. The park is nicely landscaped right along Capps Creek. Very scenic. There is a clean restroom and plenty of parking. Pavilions are available and picnic tables. Two playgrounds and a large open field. There is an old iron bridge (Haskins bridge) on the edge of the property that is interesting to cross. Be careful of loose or missing boards. We enjoyed the day very much. It was very beautiful and peaceful. It is interesting to imagine life back in the days of the old settlers. See more..
