The Fun Boats Dolphin Cruises image
This was a spur of the moment decision to ride. Booked the night before online for the 9am next day and it was super simple with detailed plans sent to text and email. The ride was soothing and laid back with several opportunities to see dolphins in multiple areas. Captain Rusty and Deckhand Morgan were great! Morgan did great with all the kids on the boat, remembering each of their names and checking on them throughout the ride. Though we personally did not partake in the water war, it was entertaining watching from inside the boat. Cap'n and Morgan were right in the mix of it. I guarantee you will Enjoy! See more..

We stopped at Blalock several times on our trip to Orange Beach. Their seafood is unbeatable and so fresh! They also have impeccable customer service. On our last visit, I asked if they had any more of the delicious looking caramel cakes and cupcakes I’d seen the time before. The young man who was helping us asked the manager and he came out to greet us. He then offered to see if he could get one for us from his wife, who was the baker. He ended up arranging for us to pick up a caramel cake for our New Year’s celebration the next morning. We were so grateful for their impeccable service and kindness. This combination of delicious seafood and the cake made our trip and our holiday. Thanks so much! We will definitely be back on our future vacations to OB. See more..

This interesting little museum offers information on local history, Native American artifacts, antique sea-faring items and biological findings. The lone guide is friendly and informative and greets visitors with the history of the building which was once a one-room school house among other things. I found the 500 year old nineteen foot long dug-out canoe as well as the dolphin scull particularly interesting. My daughter took home some shards of Native American pottery which was free. Worth stopping by if you are in the area. Admission was free. See more..

They take pride in maintaining this community sports complex. The fields are worthy of any college. They have baseball, softball, &soccer fields, & beach volleyball courts. The complex also has an amazing area for small children to play. Just a quarter mile from the complex sits beautiful hidden lake, (a great area to sit and read or have a picnic). 26. 4.0 Cotton Bayou Public Beach Access (4 reviews)
    - Beautiful when there is no one around

Cotton Bayou Public Beach Access image
Great beach with amazing sand like fine flour and water which was warm most of the days we were here, although a few days brought lots of jelly fish - I have never seen so many of them!!!! They surely kept everybody out of the warm water. This area is simply amazing and you can walk for miles on the beach, reminding me of Clearwater and the other beaches in Florida. Pity the hotels are not top hotels like the ones in Florida, yet the prices are. Also is difficult to find top restaurants, the only exception was Carver's and the usual chain of restaurants, hence had a day trip to Pensacola where there are more varieties in this respect. 30. 3.5 Tacky Jack's Bar and Grill (150 reviews)
    - Good dinner for our first night at the beach
    Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 10:00 PM Bars & Clubs
Tacky Jack's Bar and Grill image
My wife and I have been here several times before. The food has always been good and they didn’t disappoint tonight. We shared the Mexican Garbage appetizer and the blackened grouper dinner. The appetizer was great. It was more than enough for two people. The blackened flounder was wonderful. They spiced it just right. Not too much cayenne to overwhelm the filet. The flounder was fresh as was the side of green beans. The only little drawbacks were the margarita my wife ordered. It was okay but they were somewhat light on the tequila. We also had to wait 10-15 minutes after seating for the waiter to appear. Overall, a very good experience. Even with the observation deck closed for repairs, the view outside was spectacular.
