- 5.0 Sofios Park (1 review)
-Excellent little park!
Nature & Wildlife Areas • Parks • Playgrounds
My parents brought us here so the last ds could get out some energy. It's a very nice park with lots of things to do, from a wooded walking trail that uses public library books to tell stories along the way, to a paved sidewalk trail around the field, a playground, picnic shelter, a huge soccer field, and a little dog pen or toddler area. There are enclosed bathrooms too. Big gravel parking lot that is paved at the beginning, but isn't marked going further back. We even saw deer running around. Def a must for your little ones. -Cute park but not enough shade or seating!
Playgrounds
Came here to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in years. My kids enjoyed the playground and running in the open area. This park needs more trees for shade and seating. And no bathrooms at the park either. Plenty of parking though. The Rec Center is directly across the street. See more..
- 4.5 Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park (117 reviews)
-Norwalk Weekend
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Auto Racing Tracks
If you have never been to an NHRA National Event Drag race this is the place to come. The facility is absolutely the best in the USA! The staff goes the distance to help you and the choice of foods and amenities is great. They call it America's racetrack and it meets all those descriptions. If you have any complaints the owner Bill Bader II is there and will take care of you! See more..
- 4.5 Eagle Creek Golf Club (14 reviews)
-Nice Round of Golf
Saturday: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM Golf Courses
Driving from DC to Iowa, I stopped at this course to fit in a quick round on Tuesday twilight. I only encountered two other groups on the course, so I was able to play at any rate I wished. I'm Afro American, so we usually expect to not be greeted with open arms at golf courses. This course was no different. Adults not friendly, but the young girls at the bar were. Cute, friendly, and all smiles. The course itself was very nice. Tee boxes, greens, fairways, bunkers, etc...all in great shape. Course very well maintained. Care was given to decorate many holes with pumpkins and much Halloween paraphernalia. Very cool! All the surrounding homes were very nice and well kept. Nice mixture of straight, narrow, and dogleg holes. I found the difficulty to be average. No carries, ravines, or daunting hazards to deal with off the tee. Flat course. Paid $25 with cart at 4pm on Tues. If feeling welcome is not a major priority to u, I'd recommend this course. See more..
- 4.5 Firelands Museum and Laning Young Research Center (10 reviews)
-Firelands Museum Tour
Speciality Museums
This is one of the best museums I have ever been too. It is the 2nd oldest in Ohio (began in 1857) and has been in the same location since the mid 1950's. It is so large they actually have displays in two separate buildings. The gun collection is one of the finest ever found in one location. The Native American collection is also one of the largest private collections available to the public. Each of the displays are very well identified and the docents are extremely knowledgeable. Great tour for just about any age! Go to www.firelandsmuseum.org for all the available times, special tours, etc. See more..
- 4.0 D & D Smith Winery (20 reviews)
-D&D Smith Winery, Fantastic wines, Awesome friendly staff
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops
We love to check out wineries on the weekends. We decided to take a drive to D&D as we had a coupon from an Entertainment book for a free dessert with purchase. We had just eaten dinner so dessert sounded great accompanied by a glass of wine. The winery's staff is excellent. Friendly people, great wines including some you don't see often "Hillbilly Watermellon" "Peach Wine" and others. My husband loves sweet wines and he enjoyed his selection. I enjoyed my Pinot Grigio. They also have food for purchase. We like the ability to grab what we want and then proceed to the table of our choice. There is a pavilion seating along with picnic tables on the other side. I've included pictures. The inside of the winery is very nice with a loft upstairs if it is too hot to sit outside. On the main floor are tables too. If you are seeking a nice Saturday afternoon or weekday adventure, visit D&D in Norwalk, Ohio See more..
- 3.0 Uec Theatre (3 reviews)
-Good
Movie Theaters
Always cheaper than regal, better seats but you'll have to remortgage your house if you want to buy any snacks and drinks. Really should charge less for food or make better food at least if your going to charge that much instead of being lazy. See more..
- 2.0 Bronson Conservation (1 review)
-Outdated
Wedding Chapels
We rented this hall for wedding. First, price is wayyyy expensive for what your paying for. No kitchen amenities. Leave you ONE trash bag for 5 cans. Pay for use of pop and ice....get 6 2 liters because they are out of pop. Knowing we paid for this instead of fixing it that's how reimburse us. Paid $1400 for this hall. Blow fuses when hooking any extra electrical modern day lights in. Sure the view is great but will definitely not recommend this place to anyone to rent See more..
