"If our guests are gonna die in a tornado in a concrete bathroom, then god damn it, we are too" - Mick Myers, reenacting the amazing management of Two Sons Floats. Two Sons is the best float in Noel. Their guys bend over backwards to make sure their guests are happy. They continuously checked on us during horrendous weather this weekend. Thursday night was a tornado a mile a way at 1AM. Will and his guys came down to get us in the shelter and hung there with us to make sure we were good. Then Friday the campground got hit with hours and hours of rain, but there was Will and Ashley there to take care of us again. My friends and I have been traveling down to The Elk for over a decade now to do our annual vacation there, and Two Sons has been by far the best out of all the floats/camps in the entire town. The campground itself is quiet and right on the river. It's a pretty place. 5 stars. Thanks, Will, from the KC crew See more..

Greeted with smiles and a warm welcome! Visited on a Saturday afternoon. The building, grounds and atmosphere was awesome. A few in our party tried the tastings while the rest enjoyed a cocktail. The Carmel iced coffee was outstanding !! We left with over 10 bottles of various flavors(couldn't pick just 1!). If we lived closer we would definitely be back. (We live about 7 hrs. away) Definitely worth an hour ( or more)of your time See more..

Very nice trip down the Elk River in a 6 person raft. River was nice level, only had to pull a couple of times because we hit bottom. Rented through River Ranch with no hassles at all. Stayed at The Dam House - very unique house with the perfect location by the dam on the river. Highly recommend. See more..

This is our 6th year coming to Lazy Days and we LOVE it. Craig is the best. We've camped and stayed in cabins and enjoy both. Coming back in July with the parents and kids for family fun in cabin 16!. For family fun I suggest you float during the week or Sunday. Saturday is definitely for the party crowd. See more..
  6. 4.0 Elk River (12 reviews)
    - You don't have to pay a resort in order to enjoy Elk River. It is free for all.
Spent More than 3 hours Bodies of Water
    Elk River image
Elk River snakes its way through Southwest Missouri and is the biggest attraction in Noel. You can bring your own canoe, swim gear, etc., and use it for free, or you can rent canoes from one of many local vendors who will also supply transportation if one of your party doesn't want to do the extra drive. What my dad did on some of our trips was have someone with a second car help out, so we didn't have to pay for a canoe plus bus ride back, but if you only have one vehicle, you can use the services. Dad's method: Drive to where we planned to stop. Leave one car there. Drive back to starting point, park car and launch the canoe(s) etc. Once we got to our destination, the car was there so someone could drive back, get the main car, and you can imagine the rest. The point of reviewing the river itself is to remind everyone that Elk River is free. There are many free launch points. You can find them easily once you get to Noel. See more..

A gravel bar with random sites, unmarked and confusing. Electrical pedistals were a OSHA nightmare, bare wires, panels missing breaker covers, pedestals that have 2 panels but only 1 -30 amp service, etc. Long hike to the shower house, and the "outhouse" was unusable. See more..
