  1. 5.0 Rally Squirrel Sports Cards & Collectibles (1 review)
    - Card Shop
    Speciality & Gift Shops
I am not an avid collector however, I do have a substantial card collection from my childhood and still like to reminisce and visit card shops such as Rally Squirrel Cards. The shop is small and the owner was very nice and welcoming. The store has a row of glass cases with more valuable cards displaced and then several selves along the wall with some box sets. There is a variety of card types (baseball, soccer, D&D, etc.) and a variety of price points. One thing they have that I absolutely love about card shops are the "grab bags". I don't know of anyone that has really "hit a grand slam" with these bags but the mystery of what could be and at a great price point. See more..

Very nicely curated Historic Village. My young son and I visit my retired parents in Mint Hill each summer and this village is right next to the local farmer's market (also great). It's like stepping back into another era. Especially for a citified northerner like me. I especially love going through the doctor's office and my son loves the general store. If you're lucky, you may even stumble upon a group of local musician strumming their fiddles and banjos - WONDERFUL! See more..
  4. 4.5 Stevens Creek Nature Center And Nature Preserve (2 reviews)
    - Enjoy Nature with Everybody Else
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
Stevens Creek Nature Center And Nature Preserve image
A beautiful park spanning Matthews and Mint Hill. Recently opened in 2021 with a very nice nature center building and trails. The trails are pet-friendly and partially wheelchair accessible. Bikes are not allowed on the trails. As the park is located along interstate I-485, there is some noise on the trails. With the continued development in the Mint Hill/Matthews area, the need for more parks such as this is obvious. It was very crowded the day we visited (Friday, mid-morning). If crowds and noise aren't your thing, luckily there are plenty of others less popular in the area. See more..

  6. 4.0 Stooges Pub & Grub (1 review)
    - Awesome You! Let's Tell the World!
    Saturday: 3:00 PM - 2:00 AM Bars & Clubs
Just as the name implies, great little neighborhood pub. They do host some very good live entertainment - mostly cover bands from 80's 90's early 00's style. Understaffed when extremely crowded but otherwise excellent service. Wonderful back deck to enjoy in nice weather. A very good package! See more..
